NY Rock Exchange

A modest sized tabletop soapstone sculpture.   While it was still on the workbench, a visitor noted that the texturing I did to the stone looked like runes or cuneiforms.  With that in my mind I happened to be watching the stock market chiron on a newschannel and the two thoughts merged into the idea of an undecipherable message on the exterior of the stone that is summarized by the broad up and down graph carved through the stone.   With all that in mind, the “New York Rock Exchange” came into being.
