Rock and A Soft Place Studios
Rock and A Soft Place Studios (RASP Studios) showcases the creative works of husband and wife artists stone sculptor Bob Madden and multimedia artist Karen Madden. RASP Studios formed in 2008 to provide a vehicle for the Maddens to collaborate and leverage their complementary knowledge bases and their individual strengths. As a result collaboration minimized the administrative and business demands that plagued each artist’s individual creativity.

Since 2008 they have shared their ideas, energy, and successes with a growing number of worldwide collectors, clients, and fans nicknamed “RASPafarians”. These RASPafarian art patrons enjoy, embrace, and support the Maddens’ artistic visions. ==> RASP Studios artworks in Public/Private collections

In 2020 RASP Studios made a decision to begin sponsoring and curating an annual exclusively sculpture gallery show. The fifth entry in this series, appropriately named SCULPTURE V, will open in Pawling NY in August 2025. the show features RASP Studios pieces integrated with the work of a third well known sculptor ==> SCULPTURE V website The continuing series of sculpture shows along with support of clients has allowed RASP Studios to donate over $250,000 in support of local and national causes. Since its creation RASP Studios has donated to varied causes including Animal Rescue, Breast cancer initiatives, Public libraries, Alzheimer research, and Public Broadcasting.
Pablo Picasso is quoted as saying “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up.” RASP Studios long go embraced this philosophy and our inner children are annually on display. RASP’s year end email traditionally includes a video of our artistic but childish effort to create a slightly offbeat snowman. ===> The Snowman Chronicles
