A dynamic tabletop sculpture, marble on soapstone.   Mounted on a turning pin, an open faced marble cube that reveals how an internal shape must by its nature be a very different landscape than the obvious exterior.   The piece’s name, “216”, is a wry reference to the shape name “cube” which has 6 equal sized faces.   The number 6 “cubed” (raised to the third power or 6x6x6) is 216.
