Jonah

In the Biblical story of Jonah, God commands Jonah to travel and preach to wicked people but Jonah disobeys and flees by ship.   A storm arises and Jonah is thrown overboard whereupon he is swallowed by a great fish (often called a whale).  Jonah repents and prays to God for forgiveness,  three days later the fish vomits Jonah onto the beach allowing him to fulfill his mission to preach repentance.

No doubt a humbling experience for Jonah and probably a pretty miserable three days for the fish also.
