Destiny Calls

A most involved but very satisfying project, Destiny Calls was commissioned by a client for an outdoor park like setting.   A marble piece carved to allow a viewer to trace the route of the interior design through four successive iterations before returning to the original starting point, is mounted on a thin slab of black slate for the base.       The sculpture was fit with a turning pin and installed on top of a granite column which allows the piece to turn 360 degrees offering an infinite set of variations of shadow, shape,  and light as the piece is turned while the sun moves across the sky.
