Transition Boundary

When a fluid changes from smooth flow to turbulent it’s due to a poorly understood phenomena called the “Transition Boundary”.  In a similar fashion, variations in the colors of sedimentary stones like marble are created by the flows of water and air and can leave dramatic visual evidence of their effects.
