While working on my latest outdoor piece, a design that would move in the breeze, I kept wondering where my inspiration for it was coming from. It then struck me: friend and author Valerie Bolling had just published her children’s book – “Let’s Dance!” which showcases the excitement of dance across the globe by children of diverse backgrounds. When I received my copy of the book I must have tucked away the vision of children swaying and moving as they enjoyed the beat of dance. I was feeling it come out in this piece.
