Fire And Ice
$1,500
As part of the series, “Iceland” this piece was inspired by a trip to Iceland, known as the “land of fire and ice” because of the geological presence of active volcanoes among the glacier cover mountains. Using a wet felting process of wool, I layered thin plastic mesh between layers of 100% wool. As the wool felted and shrank, the pieces of mesh created a subtle hint of texture and highlights. This piece is framed in a floater frame which adds visual depth to the piece.
This piece is a part of the Iceland Series.
